The value of DNA testing is its ability to help find this genetic line by comparing the results of the y-Chromosome markers. A perfect match of 37 markers means that the two individuals, shared a common ancestor in recent times.  Researching to find the paper trail is still an important part of genealogy, DNA may aid and confirm the lineage.
